When a child cannot safely remain with their parents, we believe the first question should always be: is there someone they already know, love and trust who could care for them? Keeping children connected to family, familiar adults, their community and the relationships that matter to them can provide an important sense of stability at a time when so much else may be changing. That is why we believe strongly in exploring kinship care whenever it is safe, appropriate and in the best interests of the child.
But every child's circumstances are different, and there is no single path that will be right for every child or family. Some children need the additional support of a Therapeutic Foster Care family. Others need a foster family able to provide permanency through adoption if returning home is no longer possible. Children and families may also need practical, individual support within their own homes and communities through our Community Based Services.
For more than 20 years, Extra Special Parents has worked alongside children, families and professionals to help find the right support for the individual child. Whether that means strengthening an existing family connection or creating a new one, our focus remains the same: safety, stability, belonging and the opportunity for every child to thrive.
Care for a child you already know and have a connection with, whether you’re a relative, family friend or another trusted adult in their life.
Care for a child who needs additional emotional or behavioral support, with specialist training and guidance to help you meet their individual needs.

Foster care is about giving kids who've had a rough start a safe and loving place to heal and grow. It's for children who've faced abuse, neglect, or the heartache of being separated from their families. At ESP, we do more than provide a roof over their heads. We're all about personalized care, tailored training for our foster parents, and round-the-clock support.
Since 2006, we've been dedicated a personal touch to caring for foster children. Our ESP team of clinical specialists and advocates ensures that each child and foster family gets the attention they deserve. Thanks to our wide network of amazing foster families, we make it a priority to keep brothers and sisters connected. Our seasoned advocates are here to guide families through the fostering or adoption journey, making sure everyone's needs are met and any hurdles are handled smoothly.
But we aim for more than finding kids a temporary or forever home. We're here to help every child in our care build their confidence, discover their worth, and look forward to a hopeful future.
